The budget airline Norwegian Air launched their first Asian destination offering at an affordable price!
A few weeks ago, I shared on my social media page the great news from Norwegian Air in London. So I did some research on it!
Norwegian Air launched their new and first route to Asia last month. Starting on the 28th September 2017 the budget airline will be flying from London Gatwick Airport, United Kingdom to Singapore four times a week. This is a game changer, giving a new definition to the long-haul flights that are absolutely budget friendly.
Seats are now available for sale for as low as £179 one way inclusive of taxes and surcharges!

London Gatwick to Singapore Changi Airport:
- Departs Gatwick: 10:30 – Monday, Thursday
- Arrives Singapore: 06:15+1
- Departs Gatwick: 22:30 – Tuesday, Saturday
- Arrives Singapore: 18:15+1
Singapore Changi Airport to London Gatwick:
- Departs Singapore: 08:50 – Tuesday
- Arrives Gatwick: 15:30
- Departs Singapore: 23:40 – Wednesday, Sunday
- Arrives Gatwick: 06:20+1

Norwegian Air has been voted “Europe’s best low-cost carrier” and awarded the “World’s Best Low-cost Long-haul airline”.
The fleet for this long haul route will be the new state-of-the-art Boeing 787 Dreamliner. Which is equipped with an entertainment screen in front of your comfortable seat. The capacity of Boeing 787 is roughly around 344 passengers with both premium and economy seating.
In comparison to other premium airlines that operate the same route, the Norwegian air only offers complimentary meals to their premium passengers. As for their luggage allowance, the low fare price tariff offers 10kilos of one hand carry item only with no checked baggage allowance. Baggage and meal upgrades are available at an additional cost.
