Each floor is themed to a different musical (the Mary Poppins and Aladdin rooms are very popular) and the hotel bar is decorated like a theatre. They offer an excellent cocktail bar, which is not to be missed even if you stay elsewhere.

In the Thonglor district you’ll be treated to a more luxurious side of Bangkok, with restaurants and high-end stores it is a very sophisticated area. The hotel has no restaurant but the surrounding area will not disappoint any foodie and with easy access to transport the city is yours to explore.

  1. Funnily enough, I was only in Bangkok a month ago! I stayed at the Arte Hotel which was very nice – and I got a free upgrade which was even better 🙂 I recognise the names of some of the hotels you mention here too – I left it quite last minute so only had the choice of what was available!

  2. Last time I was in Bangkok I stayed in Khao San road. Well, it was many years ago and I was on a budget. I did not really like the area so I would not stay there anymore. I really saw some nice gems in your posts. It’s good to save it for next time I will visit Bangkok. It’s nice to have a decent hotel to freshen up in this busy city of Bangkok. I really like the Playhouse Thonglor hotel.

  3. Listings like this for accommodation options in major city like bangkok is always something we save for the simple reason that its tough to make a choice on our own 🙂 There are so many similar options and its easier to consult lists like this which make the shortlists bearable

  4. Thanks for the comprehensive list of hotels in Bangkok. We stayed in the Silom area the first time we stayed in Bangkok. The second time we stayed at the airport as we were flying out the next day. The airport was not really such a bad option since the public transit leaves right from there. I will look at this list if we plan a return to Thailand.

  5. These look so much better than some of the hostels I stayed at. I think I would end up picking one of the four hotels with a pool (just a great way to relax after the hot weather in Bangkok, although the buffets and restaurants are a huge plus too. God I miss real Thai food!

  6. This is helpful! I’ve wanted to go to Bangkok but haven’t known where to stay. I’d probably stay at the Pinnacle Lumpinee Park Hotel due to the look of it and a view of the city.

  7. All of these hotels look so good. A friend of mine is going to Bangkok next month and this post comes in very handy. I will be recommending this list to him and that saves him the trouble of searching through pages and pages of unending hotels online.

  8. As a large capital city, it’s no surprise that Bangkok has many great hotels to choose from. You’ve included quite a few in your helpful list. I’d love to sit by the pool at the Pinnacle Lumpinee Park Hotel, or do some laps in the rooftop pool at Bangkok 68.

  9. What I really love about Bangkok is that it has such a huge range of accommodation on offer. There is something to suit everyone’s budget and taste. This is a nice compilation of hotels which will be so useful to those traveling to Bangkok for the first time. We had been to Bangkok a couple of years ago and had a great experience. We stayed at the Ibis near Sukhumvit Road.
