Important Reminder:
If you are leaving the UK, the hotel is very easy to access and it is located near the check-in desks and passport control. If you are entering the UK or in transit for a connecting flight, you need to have a valid clearance to enter the UK e.g. UK Tourist visa or visa-free passport, to clear the immigration process and passport control, take your luggage and then access the hotel.

YotelAir Gatwick has a trendy style if you are in a space shuttle it is not surprising, as YOTEL cabins are inspired by luxury airline travel. You will definitely notice the quirkiness of the hotel as soon as you walk into their main reception a.k.a Mission Control.

We were welcomed by the friendly crew (receptionist) that gave us information about the facilities and amenities in the hotel and offered us a welcome complimentary drink on our arrival.
The bedroom or cabins as they call it in YotelAir is indeed like a sleeping pod that you typically see in any of the space station scenes in the movies. The cabins are modern, clean and compact not to mention that they have an amazing reclining bed!
It was crazy, amazing and cute! Yes, it was my first time staying in a hotel with a reclining bed. Funky style indeed. I was so pleased! The room is comfortable and clean yet it is compact. So if you like a little bit of space, I would suggest booking the cabins instead of the single sleeping pods.

Our Premium Queen YotelAir Cabin
Since YotelAir’s concept is modern minimalist rooms. Even if it’s compact you will feel the luxury and functionality of each room that will suit the traveller’s needs.
They offer standard amenities of:

They have three types of rooms in YotelAir London Gatwick:
- Standard – Approx cabin size: 75 sqft / 7sqm
The Standard cabins are ideal for solo travellers. It has a good size single bed in a bunk style. The space may be limited compared to the other rooms, but it will give you the functionality features like a work desk and toilet with shower.
- Premium Queen – Approx cabin size: 110 sqft / 10sqm
Inside YotelAir Premium Queen Cabin
The Premium Queen cabins are ideal for couples or families. It is double occupancy and can also accommodate a child under 5 if sharing the same bed. The Premium Queen cabin is equipped with YotelAir’s signature Smart bed, it is a reclining bed that saves up precious space and can also turn into a seating area.
- Premium Twin – Approx cabin size: 108 sqft / 10 sqm
The Premium Twin cabins are ideal for families. The room can accommodate 2 adults and a young child below 5 years old or 1 adult and 2 children below 5 years old. It has a bunk bed design, a double bed below the bunk and a single on the top bunk.
Lift going to Yotel Air Gatwick from the Arrivals
The lift access to the YotelAir Gatwick is the same lift that you need to take going to the Business Lounge of the Gatwick airport. The airport is well signposted, and you can’t miss it.

What’s Around The Area
YotelAir London Gatwick Location Map
The location of the YotelAir is very convenient for travellers, it is located inside the South Terminal of London Gatwick airport, next to the international arrivals gate. Within the airport, you can find various shops that sell clothes, gadgets, hot food and snacks for quick-ready meals and drinks. Alternatively, there is a Costa coffee shop near the lift if you fancy a nice cup of coffee to wake you up.
The YotelAir London Gatwick can also be located and be accessible via trains, it is nearby the Gatwick Airport Station. Alternatively, if you end up on the North Terminal side of the airport, you can take the free shuttle service to go to the South Terminal.
Recommendation
As a whole, my stay in the YotelAir London Gatwick is very comfortable and convenient. I feel that staying in an airport hotel makes a big difference when you are flying a very early flight. It saves up time and energy, plus you get comfortable and extra hours of sleep before you jet off.
The YotelAir London Gatwick delivered its promise to give its guests a comfortable stay. Even though the rooms look pretty compact, they thoughtfully curated all the necessary amenities and facilities for the guests.
